One of the top touring comedians in the country today, with CDs and DVDs selling millions, Gaffigan is known to many from his unprecedented number of appearances on late night’s Letterman and Conan. His writing and voice work on the animated series Pale Force for Conan were nominated for a Broadband Emmy and a Webby Award.
He’s also become a mainstay on television and the big screen with appearances on HBO’s cult hits Flight of the Concords and Bored to Death, dramatic roles on Law & Order and memorable roles in Going the Distance, Away We Go and It’s Kind of a Funny Story. In 2011, Gaffigan also starred in the acclaimed Broadway play That Championship with Chris Noth, Brian Cox, Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland.
The comedy special Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe is available exclusively for download at http://www.jimgaffigan.com/mr-universe for only $5. A dollar from each download will go to The Bob Woodruff Foundation charity dedicated to helping injured veterans and their families. And he recently published his latest book, entitled, Dad is Fat.
“I wrote a book. No, I did! It’s all about the joys and horrors of my life with my five young children. I’m not sure if it’s a memoir, a confession, an apology or cry for help but Jeannie and friends have told me it’s really funny,” Gaffigan said from his own mouth.
Jim Gaffigan with Tom Shillue is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
