AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Palace Sports & Entertainment’s Michigan Beerfest is almost here with limited-release and award-winning beers from nearly three dozen breweries at DTE Energy Music Theatre, Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets, $30 in advance and $35 at the door, are available at Palacenet.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations, including The Locker Room Store at Great Lakes Crossing. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000. Parking is included in the price.
Patrons receive 10 4-ounce beer samples with each ticket. There will also be a “designated driver” ticket for $10 that includes two non-alcoholic beverages.
There will be a variety of award-winning, limited and newly released craft beers served Saturday, including: Über Ursa Imperial Pilsner and Teufel Bock from the Atwater Brewery, Kuhnhenn DRIPA, Kuhnhenn Loonie Kuhnie Pale Ale, Dragonmead Final Absolution, Gypsy Kiss Bock from Schmohz, Jet Black IPA from MIP, The Sierra Nevada Hoptimum, Heavenly Feijoa Tripel from New Belgium, The Frankenmuth Twisted Helles and Great Lakes Wright Pils.
But there’s more than beer:
Proceeds from the Michigan Beerfest will benefit Lighthouse PATH, one of the three program subsidiaries of Lighthouse of Oakland County empowerment program which provides two years of transitional housing in a safe and structured environment that offers homeless mothers an opportunity to rebuild their lives by helping them gain the skills needed for future success. - Mac & Cheese and Pulled Pork sliders from Union Joints will be available in the lineup of food trucks from Dago Joes, El Guapo and People’s Pierogi.
- Live music is also on tap with Monsieur Guillaume and his Zydeco Hepcats, performing from 1 p.m. to 2:45 pm and Matt Besey, performing from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- And vintage truck lovers will get a chance to check out refurbished and repurposed, mint condition trucks from Powers Distributing. They’re bringing: the only drivable 1946 Mack Truck in the world, a 1936 Chevrolet and a 1952 Dodge. The featured breweries are:
