DETROIT– June 19, 2017) — Following the most successful theatre season at the Fox Theatre to date, Olympia Entertainment announces another exciting lineup to headline the 2017-18 Fifth Third Bank Fox Theatre Series. The upcoming season will feature familiar holiday classics to warm the heart, family-friendly entertainment and award-winning productions.

Kinky Boots (Friday, Nov. 3 - Sunday, Nov. 5) is Broadway’s huge-hearted, high-heeled hit! With songs by Grammy® and Tony® winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover, and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind. Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

Audiences will find their hearts growing a few sizes along with the Grinch’s when they experience the magic of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical (Friday, Nov. 17 - Sunday, Nov. 19) which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas” (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss), from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the loveable Whos.

A spectacular celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film, The Wizard of Oz (Saturday, Nov. 25 - Sunday, Nov. 26) will blow you away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports you to a dazzling Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys. Grammy Award winner Chip Davis has created a show that features the beloved Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller along with dazzling multimedia effects performed in an intimate setting. Experience the magic as the spirit of the season comes alive with the signature sound of Mannheim Steamroller.

Direct from Russia, Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker (Sunday, Dec. 17) will return as a family holiday favorite this Christmas. Experience the exceptional dancing of a company of almost 40, a 60-foot growing Christmas tree, new and spectacular hand-made costumes by Resident Designer Arthur Oliver, and stunning sets hand-painted in Russia and designed by multi-Academy Award nominee Carl Sprague.
