About Maxwell

Maxwell has artfully managed to transfix music lovers for more than two decades, releasing five studio albums, all in his own time and all duly anointed as classics. The soul singer redefined soul music in April of 1996 when he released his critically acclaimed debut on Columbia, Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite. It earned Grammy nominations, double platinum status and RIAA gold for the single, “Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder).” The platinum albums Embrya (1998) and Now (2001) followed. In 2009, Maxwell’s BLACKsummers'night debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning two Grammy awards, including Best R&B Album. With a total of four platinum album certifications from the RIAA, Maxwell’s latest album, blackSUMMERS’night, earned him a third Grammy (Best R&B Song for “Lake By The Ocean”), an NAACP Image Award (Outstanding Male Artist), and a Soul Train Award (Best R&B/Soul Male Artist). About Jazmine Sullivan

Jazmine Sullivan released her debut album Fearless in 2008, a #1 album on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart that garnered seven Grammy Awards nominations including Best R&B Album and Best New Artist. From her first single “Need U Bad,” Sullivan demonstrated an innate ability to write songs that perfectly capture the stories of so many women, especially Black women. Sullivan possesses a lyrical vulnerability that makes you think she has been reading your journal.

Following a string of nominations over the years for her albums Love Me Back (2010) and Reality Show (2012), in 2022 Sullivan took home her first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for Heaux Tales – the critically lauded project that debuted at #1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and allowed us to share in her journey to self-love. The project’s RIAA-certified Platinum single, “Pick Up Your Feelings,” also won a Grammy for Best R&B Song. That same year, Jazmine won three NAACP Image Awards: Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Album (Heaux Tales) and Outstanding Soul/R&B Song (“Pick Up Your Feelings”), plus a BET Award for Best Female R&B Artist.
