BLACKBEAR AND KYLE TO HEADLINE OAKLAND UNIVERSITY’S 2019 SPRING CONCERT AT MEADOW BROOK AMPHITHEATRE FRIDAY, APRIL 12

Tickets Go On Sale Monday, February 11 at 10 a.m. Oakland University Student Tickets On Sale Now

(DETROIT – February 7, 2019) – 313 Presents and Oakland University Student Program Board present blackbear and KYLE as co-headliners of the 2019 Spring Concert at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on the campus of Oakland University on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The Spring Concert will kick off with a performance by the winner of the 2019 “Battle of the Bands.” 

Tickets (starting at $30) go on sale Monday, February 11 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at 313Presents.com, Little Caesars Arena XFINITY box office and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. Similar to 313 Presents‘ other outdoor amphitheatres, and new to Meadow Brook Amphitheatre in 2019, the parking fee ($5) is now included in the ticket price.

Oakland University student tickets (starting at $15) are on sale now at the Office for Student Involvement Service Window next to the Bear Cave in the Oakland Center. Students will be able to purchase tickets – one per valid student ID. For additional information, call the Student Program Board office at (248) 370‑4295.

“The Student Program Board has booked another solid concert to entertain OU students and the general public with well-known and talented performers that will end the 2018-2019 academic year on a very positive note,” said Jean Ann Miller, senior director of the Office for Student Involvement.

Blackbear (Matthew Tyler Musto) has collaborated with numerous musical artists such as Childish Gambino, Billie Eilish, Mike Posner, Linkin Park, Pharrell Williams, G-Eazy, Miley Cyrus and many others. He co-wrote “Boyfriend” with Justin Bieber and the song debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. He also produced the title track from G-Eazy’s album, These Things Happen, and was featured on the album. 

KYLE (Kyle Thomas Harvey) is best known for his breakout single “iSpy,” which has had over half a billion streams on Spotify. He also recently starred in the Netflix original film, The After Party.

He has also collaborated with artists such as Kehlani, G-Eazy, Chance the Rapper, Miguel, MadeinTYO, Yuna, Lil Yachty, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla Sign and more. His first studio album, Light of Mine came out last year and debuted at #29 on the Billboard Hot 200.
