Empire Of The Sun Announce Ask That God Tour: Afterlife At Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre August 20
(DETROIT – March 11, 2026) – Empire of the Sun returns to North America with the band’s largest tour to date and a reimagined live show following their sold-out Ask That God 2025 world tour. The next chapter arrives with Ask That God: Afterlife 2026. The tour will stop at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre with support from Polo & Pan and breakout electro-funk band Midnight Generation on Thursday, August 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. at 313Presents.com, LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com. To participate in the Empire of the Sun Artist Presale on Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. local time, fans must sign up at livemu.sc/empireofthesun by Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
This tour presents the live show as the final installment of the Ask That God journey, where the story continues and new frontiers unfold. Expanding on the universe introduced in their latest album, the reimagined show is a celebration of imagination, transformation and connection in a rapidly changing world.
Promoted by Live Nation, the 30+ date headlining tour begins August 11 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and includes stops across North America before concluding October 9 in Las Vegas. The run also features festival appearances including Osheaga in Montreal, Up In The Sky in Aspen and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
Leading up to the announcement, Luke Steele teased the new era with “AFTERLIFE 26” written across his chest, hinting at the next chapter for Empire of the Sun.
“It feels like a very pivotal time,” says Steele. “We have a new song to sing, we have to step into a new doorway — a new chapter. The world is changing. It feels like a revolution in the world and we have to unite. Love is the power weapon.”
At the center of the experience stands the Emperor, guiding the journey forward as sound, imagination and human connection merge into a spectacular live performance.
