On Saturday June 8th 2024, 313 Presents will be participating in the American Heart Association’s 100th Anniversary Detroit Heart Walk and 5K. It will be held at Wayne State University-Keast Commons.

For 100 years, the American Heart Association has accelerated its lifesaving work by pioneering scientific discovery, advocating for healthy public policies in communities across the country, and identifying ways to remove barriers to healthcare access and quality. Together, we will continue to be relentlessly focused on standing for all by driving equitable health for every member of our community. On November 1, 2023, 313 Presents participated in its 2nd Annual All Team Day of Service at Fleece & Thank You in Farmington Hills. Our team was able to make, quality check and sort through 370 blankets that will be sent to children facing illnesses and their families supporting them. 313 Presents, Olympia Development of Michigan, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment and Comerica Bank, in partnership with the City of Detroit Office of Arts, Culture & Entrepreneurship (Detroit ACE), proudly present Detroit Public Schools Community District’s (DPSCD) An Evening of Fine Arts at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. This event is the culminating activity for more than 200 students from DPSCD’s middle and high school fine and performing arts departments. It is a celebration of the students’ achievements and provides them with a one-of-a-kind experience. 313 Presents was thrilled to help bring this signature event back to the Fox Theatre in 2022.

313 Presents takes great pride in community involvement and makes every effort to accommodate as many ticket donation requests as possible for local non-profit organizations.

Since 2011, Anheuser-Busch and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation have donated more than $221 million to charitable organizations across the country that help individuals and communities thrive – including support of disaster preparedness and relief, economic development, education, environmental sustainability, military personnel, and their families, and responsible drinking.For more than two decades, our employees and their family members have worked alongside more than 12 Habitat for Humanity chapters to help build homes for deserving families in our neighborhoods. 

In partnership with the River Network and more than 50 local non-profits, our employees have participated in nearly 200 sustainability-focused community volunteer events since 2010, planting 68,000 trees and removing more than 1.2 million pounds of litter. Since 2010, alongside our partners, we have hosted more than 520 employee blood drives with the American Red Cross, collecting more than 19,000 units of blood to potentially save over 58,000 lives.

The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren and volunteers were joined by representatives from Ally, McLaren and community partners for a special event to celebrate the proceeds generated by the tournament for charitable organizations in southeastern Michigan and beyond. The sixth playing of The Ally Challenge, which concluded August 27, 2023, at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club, raised a total of $1,189,019.40, surpassing the $1 million mark for the fourth time in the tournament’s brief history.

For more than 5 years, Cintron has sponsored an annual charity polo event called "Cintron Pink Polo" for breast cancer awareness, which makes impactful donations to local breast cancer organizations. Cintron has also supported many local art exhibits and has made contributions to young, talented and entrepreneurial artists, so they can embrace a life of creative passions and boundless ambitions

Mobile Coca-Cola associates recently participated in an annual food drive with donations going to Feeding the GulfCoast. They were able to fill eight large barrels with cannned goods and collecting two additional cases of canned goods.Mobile Coca-Cola’s donation weighed in at 1,399 pounds, which equals 1,165 meals for local communities.

The Comerica Corporate Contributions program and Comerica Charitable Foundation work to partner with the communities they serve serve through investments in equity, education, economic and community development and human services for those in need.

Drive 4 UR School began in 2007 as a way for Ford to give back to communities across the country. The idea was simple: Test-drive a Ford vehicle from a local dealership, get money for your school. The success of the school program inspired the launch of Drive 4 UR Community, allowing Ford Dealers to partner with nonprofit organizations as well. Thousands of events and more than $50 million in donations later, participants are still test-driving for a cause that they - and Ford - are equally passionate about.

Cumulus Detroit’s 760 WJR Joins The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit to Raise Nearly $1.9 Million to Help the Area’s Hungry and Homeless.

Deep Eddy Vodka was quick to take action and provide many outreach efforts to restore Austin and surrounding communities during the 2021 Winter Storm. With commitments from over a dozen Austin businesses – including heavy hitters like Red Bull and Kendra Scott – Deep Eddy Vodka’s grassroots effort raised nearly $140,000 throughout the week. Those funds went to over 50 local restaurants which provided 11,000 warm meals to residents city-wide.

DTE Energy teams up with Feeding America to help the many adults and children in Michigan facing hunger. DTE team members recently helped to fight this issue by donating funds to support emergency food and shelter organizations. With a match from the DTE Foundation, nearly $100,000 was raised to support 79 organizations that provide vital services to residents across the state.

DoorDash today announced details of a new effort to support Dashers and the community organizations they care about. For every 25 deliveries a Dasher completes between April 5 and April 18, they will be entered for a chance to be one of 10 Dashers to receive $50,000 cash, and will additionally have the opportunity to select a charity to receive $50,000* for a total of $1 million in contributions.

Through our Joy in Childhood Foundation, Dunkin’ strives to bring the simple joys of childhood to sick and hungry kids. Since 2006, the Foundation has been deeply embedded in communities across the country and has donated more than $11 million to hundreds of national and local charities. Engage@EMU operates the Community Work-Study Program (CWSP) where undergraduate students can earn their awarded work-study funds and gain experience by working with local community-focused government agencies or charitable non-profit organizations

Millions of families across North America, many with children, struggle with food insecurity. Each year, our distribution centers, stores, shows and events donate millions of pounds of food to local hunger relief organizations to help feed those in need.

GFL proudly provides quality, local service to communities across North America. It’s always been a vital part of their mission to take care of the communities they serve, and give back to them in any way that they can.

That led to GFL Environmental launching the Full Circle Project (FCP) —an exciting community-driven charitable giving program that lets you, the customers, decide how a portion of donations are directed.

On December 9, 2023, more than 20 members of the Fox 2 family came to Gleaners main warehouse and distribution center in Taylor to pack bags of food to be shared at community mobile distributions and fill orders for our School Food Mobiles. All in, they packed more than 21,000 pounds of food, or the equivalent of more than 17,000 meals.

Every year, Great Lakes Wine & Spirits donates thousands of dollars in products and resources to dozens of charitable organizations across Michigan, supporting initiatives that help residents, sponsoring community events, and providing scholarships for disadvantaged students.

Fifth Third Bank, National Association, and Enterprise Community Partners launched the $180 million Empowering Black Futures Neighborhood Program in 2021 to accelerate revitalization in nine key majority-Black communities across seven states that have experienced disinvestment. Employees of J&J Snack Foods are encouraged to turn their passion for positive change into opportunities for each of our home communities. Ilitch Charities is a non-profit foundation founded in 2000 that invests in the community’s future. The organization provides scholarships to eligible youth participants in the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club and the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League. It also provides grants to a number of non-profits and supports various programs in the areas of community development, human services, education and recreation.  

They also have the love kitchen a mobile pizzeria that since 1985 has had more than 50,000 franchise owners and employees have volunteered their time, food and labor to support the program in their local communities. 

The 2023 Meijer hosted the LPGA Classic. Proceeds from the tournament – and each of the week’s festivities – once again benefited the Meijer Simply Give program that restocks the shelves of food pantries across the Midwest. The 2022 tournament raised a record-setting $1.25 million for local food pantries through Simply Give. In total, the eight tournaments combined have generated more than $8.65 million for the Meijer Simply Give hunger relief program. Additionally, in 2022, Meijer also donated $25,000 to a hunger relief organization of tournament Champion Jennifer Kupcho’s choice. She selected Grand Rapids-based Kids’ Food Basket as a thank you to her host family, who had ties to the organization.

At Michigan First, we focus on providing members with a great one-on-one banking experience, but we're also committed to helping our local communities - and the people in them - enjoy a brighter future. Our charitable outreach is supported through the Michigan First Foundation, a non-profit organization which funds scholarship programs and provides financial support and other resources to local organizations and causes. Lume Cannabis Co. is hosting a free expungement fair from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 24, at its retail location 3406 Stadium Drive, according to a press release from Lume. The cannabis company partnered with Michigan-based law firms, criminal justice groups and cannabis reform organizations to help residents navigate the state’s new “Clean Slate” law.

During the month of August, the Motor City Casino Hotel hosts the Back-to-School Backpack Drive. The hotel associates and a number of vendors rally together to donated and fill more than 250 backpacks. Students from Christ Child House, Burton International School and Young Fathers United are sent back to school with all of the essentials.

Metro Detroit Youth Day is focused on bringing together metro Detroit area youth from all walks of life. Held in July on Bell Isle, a number of MotorCity Casino Hotel assosciates volunteer for a day of sports, fun and constructive activites.

From November 6, 2023, through January 1, 2024, Nissan USA will donate an additional $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity International, bringing our total annual donation to $1.3 million.

We’re proud to help support a variety of philanthropic and charitable organizations in our hometown and across the world. For example, in our community, we support a local food bank that offers essential supplies to over 1,000 households. On a global level, we’re involved with multiple charitable endeavors to help fund food programs, disaster relief, civic organizations, and a number of other important causes.

PepsiCo is donating $250,000 to help tackle food insecurity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Pet Supplies Plus Cares” is more than just a statement. We strive to be involved in our local communities and support programs that benefit the lives of our neighbors and their pets. Your local Pet Supplies Plus finds homes for over 4,000 pets per year and give back over $80,000 per year to local adoption and rescue groups.

The Community Health and Well-Being Fund provides people with limited access to healthcare needs with equal opportunity. Since 2022, Trinity Health has helped 512,000 people through this fund. 

The Community Policing Outstanding Achievement Award Honorable Mention was awarded to the Houghton Lake Post for its “Shop with a Hero” events that support low-income families who would otherwise be unable to purchase holiday gifts. In 2023, the 21st year of the program, post personnel had cumulatively raised more than $100,000 and served more than 1,100 children. Post Commander F/Lt. Scott McManus and Sgt. Scott Bates accepted the award on behalf of the Houghton Lake Post.

Rose Pest Solutions has been partners with the Chicago Wolves for 3 years. As part of their Score For Charity program, each year we team up with a Wolves goalie to help raise money for Bernie’s Book Bank, a local charity in Lake Bluff. For every save our goalie makes during a game, we donate money for a set a 12 books that would be distributed to at-risk youth throughout Chicagoland.

The holidays are a season of hope, where communities come together to take care of friends and strangers alike. At UWM, we saw an opportunity to support others during the holidays and created one of our biggest initiatives, the UWM Adopt A Family Program, which allows us to give gifts and necessities to local families in need. Throughout the year, UWM team members host events like bake sales and raffles to raise money to purchase gifts for the families, including clothes, toys and housewares. In 2022, UWM helped brighten the holidays for 114 local families.

Petitpren Inc., a local beer distributor, is giving back to the community, helping those in need of food with a donation of 170 cases of Langers Fruit Juice to the Community Food Bank of Macomb County. “We are proud to call Petitpren Inc. a neighbor and partner in helping ensure no Macomb County family goes hungry,” said Alec Williams, site supervisor of the Community Food Bank of Macomb County.

Pine Knob Ski Hill hosts a number of family friendly events including skiing with Santa and Family for Free Ski program. 

The holiday season is a time to gather with family and friends and to express gratitude. At Signal, that also means giving back to the communities where we live and work. Signal’s Troy, MI, office kicked off a food and toy drive to benefit Farmington Area Goodfellows.

For more than 70 years, the nonprofit organization has served up to 400-500 children, families, and seniors in the Farmington, MI, and Farmington Hills, MI, area each holiday season.

In 2023 Toshiba America Business Solutions helped raise $76,000 for Veteran and Youth Causes.

Through the Weaver Private Foundation, there are many opportunities for Weaver team members to give back, from philanthropic and civic activities such as walk-a-thons, toy drives, and physical volunteering, to semi-annual Foundation giving on behalf of employees to organizations that matter most to them. The Private Foundation distributes larger scale annual giving as well to support high-impact causes that are impacting the community. Past examples range from Hurricane Harvey relief support to COVID-19 community assistance.
