Classic rocker Eddie Money makes his annual start-of-the-season appearance to help kick off DTE Energy Music Theatre’s 2014 summer concert season on May 23 at 7:30 p.m. Dez Money and The Faze and The Rockets will open the show.

Tickets at $34.50 in the pavilion and $10 on the lawn are on sale at 10 a.m., March 28 at Palacenet.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.

Eddie Money rose to success in 1977 with his self-titled debut which featured the hits “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets To Paradise.” Other classic rock hits from Money include “Shakin’,” “Think I’m In Love,” “No Control,” “Gimmie Some Water,” “I Wanna Go Back,” “Walk on Water” and his duet with Ronnie Spector, “Take Me Home Tonight.”

Money has partnered with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), a non-profit organization that provides support to United States military personnel and their families, since May 2011. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of his single “One More Soldier Coming Home,” a tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces who have lost their lives in service, go to the IFHF.
