Bruce Springsteen made just one performing visit to Pine Knob, during June of 2006 with his Seeger Sessions Band, while the Dave Matthews Band has visited almost annually since 1996. Various permutations of the Grateful Dead – including the latest, Dead & Company – have brought their long, strange trip to the theater since 1980, and The Black Crowes resumed a long association with its 2021 Shake Your Money Maker reunion tour. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' last stop, for the group's 40th anniversary tour in 2017, came just two and a half months before his death.
